Re: -current Clock Drift

Hi Brooks,

I am confused. Why do I see the i8254 timecounter announcement
followed by the TSC timecounter announcement in dmesg?

sys/i386/i386/identcpu.c assumes all CPU's >= pentium have TSC,
without checking.

As I read it, in src/sys/i386/isa/clock.c
  tc_init is called for i8254
and then, if !SMP and tsc_present (assumed for pentium)
    tc_init is called for TSC.

Where does your system fall out of this? What is your cpu?
